Many residents are afraid that the monster has come back, because some of them have seen strange luminous shapes, and then some sheep were found with their throats slashed. Their worst fears seem to be confirmed when Lady Penrose is found killed in the same way. Meanwhile, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are in Quebec, attending a meeting of the Royal Canadian Occult Society, where they are involved in a sharp debate with Lord Penrose about his village’s legend. Not long after Lord Penrose receives word of his wife’s death, Holmes receives a letter that the dead woman had written before she died, begging for his help and protection. When Holmes goes to the village to investigate, he finds himself hunting a determined murderer who is also a master of disguise. |

As the full moon came closer and closer, Nelly could feel the slight changes in her body. How her hair grew about an inch a day, how he nails resembled claws, how her eyes gleamed with a mysterious light, how her back slowly arched itself, how her face felt elongated, how her teeth grew long and sharp. When the night of the full moon arrived, she felt a million different pains shoot though her body. She could feel her human bones, painfully slow, change into those of a wolf. Her spine arched making her bend over and fall to the ground as her feet and hands curled over and sprouted claws. Her face elongated itself and her teeth fell out as new canines took their places. Her ears grew and became pointed and a tail grew from her backside. Black fur took the place of her once pale skin, making her look as black as oil. A howl formed in her throat and quickly found its way into the cold quite air that surrounded Nelly. Her thoughts were no longer under her control, just like her body. All the wolf-Nelly could think was. Hungry, Hungry! Must find meat! Deer trail! As she uncontrollably raced up a hill and into the forest, everything passing in a dark moonlit blur. Human Nelly had no choice but to let her wolf instincts take over. She woke up ten miles away with a bloody deer carcass 5 feet away from her, half devoured. She sat up groggily rubbing her hand across her face, accidently smearing fresh scarlet blood across her cheek. She growled in annoyance, and then gasped in surprise. Did I just growl? She thought to herself. Getting to her feet she stood up and stretched her tired muscles, looking around. She gasped yet again in horror and surprise; from the shadows over 10 pairs of gleaming eyes were staring back at her. A snarl ripped through the cold air as a huge brown wolf with white hairs sprouting from his snout, steeped out of the dark woods. Staring at her with blazing yellow eyes, the wolf slowly shrank. His brown fur receded to the top of his head, revealing a man with dark gold skin and yellow eyes, still blazing. He growled, even though he was in human form, saying
