Voiding 3 year warranty VS Cleaning laptop fan. Hp G60 243CL? Best Answer 10 Points?
Yea so I paid a lot for this laptop ( Hp G60 243CL) and it came with a 3 year warranty, have had it little less than a 1year. I want to keep it safe clean and so on. Planing on getting one of them laptop pads. Love how I have my setting on my desktop, web browsers and so on set up. I do have every thing backed up. I use this laptop for many hours a day. I try my best to keep it clean and make sure it has good air flow in vents. So to the point.
It still can get hot, way hotter, than I know it should be. I can get the tools to open and clean the fan, but as I just read opening the case will "void my warranty". Do you think it better to let it keep getting hot killing it slowly but keeping my warranty in case of a future freak accident(drop, killer malware, virus) and so on or would it be better to open the laptop up month to month to clean fans, vent’s & heat sink? All opinions welcome.
Note: No I CAN’T JUST USE IT LESS OR TURN IN OFF.
If its really getting way hotter than it should be, why not contact the manufacturer and use your warranty. Tell them it gets so hot that you can’t even keep it on your lap. That will get them running eager to help. They’ll probably send a Tech to clean the fans & heat sink, or even better, to replace them.

Personally I would ask the manufacturer, or build a water cooling system underneath it.
